About The Ghoultown Comic Book

The Ghoultown comic series began in 2001 with a preview story released by publisher Bad Moon Studios out of Houston, Texas. Conceived and written by Ghoultown frontman, Count Lyle (aka Robert Lyle), the comic was centered around a cast of fictional characters living in a post-apocalyptic Texas called the "Black Vista". It was essentially a horror western comic which brings in elements of gothic horror, old west outlaws, a vampire-like disease called Palanema and plenty of wild action.

A 4-issue mini-series entitled ELECTRIK FIRE MACHINE debuted in 2001 and was sold at Ghoultown shows, on their website and at comic retailers mostly in the southeast. Unfortunately, by early 2003, publisher Bad Moon Studios decided to leave the comics business, which left the Ghoultown mini-series in limbo, having only released issues #1 and #2. Since the art for issues #3 and #4 was never completed, the band was unable to finish the series on their own.

By request from those who have enjoyed the first two issues, we've posted the original scripts for the never-released issues #3 and #4. These are in the original format which Lyle would send to the artist in order to create the accompanying artwork. We hope you enjoy - as much as possible without the art - the remainder of the story!
